Hybrid electric vehicles with ICEs (internal combustion engines) running on hydrogen are practical and affordable, can reduce or eliminate emissions, and offer most of the benefits of fuel cell vehicles at a fraction of the cost. Quantum's H₂Hybrid package, currently available for the Toyota Prius, is designed to meet SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) standards. Additionally, the H₂Hybrid generates comparable power to the gasoline version along with increased fuel economy.
