Quantum has developed a proprietary technology that addresses the greatest practical challenge of hydrogen technology—storage. Our proprietary TriShield™ technology can provide fuel cell vehicles range between refueling of 300 miles (483 km). We produce the leading hydrogen storage system technology used by OEMs today—the lightest, most advanced composite tanks for on-board storage. Our experience with developing advanced systems for OEM applications has resulted in an ultra-lightweight advanced composite cylinder design for compressed hydrogen that can hold up to 10,000-psi (70 MPa).

As our customers know, storage weight can affect payload capacity and life cycle costs. Quantum has also developed a line of lightweight and cost-effective CNG tanks for bus, truck and automotive applications.
